Frequently Asked Questions

  • Clients will need to obtain a Missouri Fishing License prior to their trip. If you choose a trout trip you will also need to obtain a Trout Permit with your license. Clients who are desiring a trip on Bull shoals will need to obtain a White River Boarder Lake permit.
  • Permits can be obtained online at https://mdc-web.s3licensing.com/ or you can purchase in person at Bass Pro Shops or Wal Mart. Non Resident Fishing Permits may be purchased as daily or annual permits. If purchasing a daily permit please ensure that it is for the day of your trip.
  • The mornings on our lakes especially Lake Taneycomo can be quite cold even during the summer. It is recommended that you bring a small jacket or hoodie on your trip for your comfort. We do fish in the rain from time to time so you may also need rain gear (poncho, rain coat, etc.) Just make sure and check the local weather and dress accordingly!

  • Trips can be booked by calling 417-559-3981 or 580-284-8150. If calling during normal business hours it may be required that you leave a message due to lack of cell phone service on some parts of the lake. A guide will be back in contact with you that day.
  • There will be a $50 minimum booking fee when booking your trip. Guests can pay for their trip in full at time of booking or after completion of their trip. Payment can be taken over the phone by card. If paying at the ramp we recommend paying in cash as cell service may be an issue.
  • Guests may cancel their trips at anytime however booking fees will only be refunded in the event of inclimate weather. Guides may cancel or reschedule trips due to weather if there are safety concerns. There will be a full refund of all booking and trip fees in the event that the guest cannot reschedule due to weather. Guests who pay for their trip in full prior to the trip must cancel at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled trip in order to receive a refund minus the $50 booking fee.

  • Active Duty, Retired, and Disabled Veterans will receive a 10% discount on all trips.
  • Our guests will be fishing from the most state of the art and well equipped fishing boats on the water. Our 19 to 21ft Nitro Z series boats provide a comfortable and stable ride on the water while providing the space and platform from which to enjoy a great day of fishing without being cramped.
  • Our vessels are also equipped with all necessary safety equipment you will need during your trip including; life jackets, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers. Children ages 7 and younger will be required to wear a life jacket throughout the duration f the trip.
  • While guests are more than welcome to bring their own fishing equipment we do provide everything you will need to fish while on your trip. Our guides utilize high end dependable Lews fishing rods and reels. We have equipment for the most experienced as well as the least experienced angler. We will provide all the bait that you will need during the trip and will be fishing with both live and artificial bait as needed to ensure you catch fish.
  • Our guides all keep cold bottled water on their boats for clients, however if clients wish they can bring aboard a small cooler with food and drinks. There are no glass bottles allowed in the boat. Alcohol may be consumed during your trip as long as it is done responsibly. Guests that cannot act accordingly or safely during the trip will be taken immediately back to the drop off site and asked to leave. 
  • Special needs: We will make every effort to assist in any special needs our clients may have within the constraints of safety. Please inform your guide as soon as possible if any special needs arise or prior to pick up of your trip.

Polices & Procedures

  • Safety is of the utmost importance during your trip. At any time during your trip if the guide feels there are safety concerns he may take any and all appropriate action to insure the safety of the crew and guests. This may include cancelation of the trip and movement of the vessel to safety until the situation is resolved.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Life Jackets will be available and provided to any and all guests. Children ages 7 and under are required by state law to wear a Coast Guard Approved Type I Personal Flotation Device.
  • It is common for us to fish during light rain and mist. 
  • If there is a threat of lightning and/or high winds trips may be canceled or rescheduled. 
  • In the event of a quick unforeseen storm while on the water guides will take all passengers to a safe location until the situation stabilizes as to return to fishing or the drop off point.
  • Fog may delay or be a cause for cancelation of a trip. Vessels will not be run on plane during low visibility due to fog which could cause a loss in fishing time during trips.
  • During night trips vessels will not exceed 25mph which may cause a loss in fishing time during trips.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
  • All Cancelations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your schedule trip if there is to be any refund minus the $50 booking fee.
  • Guides may cancel trips at any time due to safety and/or weather. There will be a full refund in the event that a guide cancels a trip unless cancelation is due to a guest acting or conducting themselves in an unsafe manner or if more than half the time frame of the trip has elapsed. 
  • In the event of a trip having to be cut short due to safety or weather a prorated refund will be given if less than half the trip time has elapsed.
  • In the event of any situations not covered in our policies a discrepancy for payment or refund occurs the guide may work with the guest to resolve situations that make both parties whole.
  • We are very proud of our boats and equipment. We ask that all guests respect our property and use all equipment in a responsible and proper manner. Guests who fail to follow this policy will be taken immediately to the drop off point and there will be no refund.
